Can't wait till they take the covering off and put the glass on, gorgeous feature!

It seems unusual that they haven't begun the internal fit-up for the lower half of the tower (to be tenanted by Telus). Instead, all fit-up work looks like it's concentrated on the other tenanted spaces.

Typically, fit-up would proceed up the tower from the base, in keeping with the incremental upward construction of the tower. However, in this case the opposite appears to be happening.

Maybe there's a time crunch so Telus is doing its work last, and going to subject the other tenants to months of construction noise.

Taller as in you can see Telus Garden condos from more than one block away without a direct view down a street/alley. I'm definitely starting to notice it a bit more. Before long we'll start seeing advance viewings of renderings for the site opposite, on the southern side of Robson St, and have another pair of towers like Shangri-La + Trump to act as wayfinding landmarks.

Probably have a contract for tenants to move in at a specified date and Telus wants to meet that schedule. They'd also start receiving rental income once the tenants move in.

The sculptural element on W.Georgia should be quite interesting when it's done. I quite like the glass walk idea (the "lounge" portion below the side walk). [They should put a glass cover over Robson St. above the rink] Hmmm, just saw yet another rendering that doesn't seem to show the glass walkway, maybe that will no longer be included. The pigeons on Granville might find the sculptural canopy a nice place to roost, necessitating the use of air cannons...

Here is a shot of the entrance to the Georgia Street alleyway that will have sculptural lanterns by Martin Boyce lighting the way:

Why was the condo tower brought down from 53 stories? Could have been higher in my opinion, but it should look pretty good at that location.

I've been watching the rise of the Telus Garden condo tower from my apartment at 822 Homer St. Here is a sequence of pics (looking ~NW) over about the last 16 months.

-R&R along the left side.
-Westin Grande along the right side.
-Atelier podium rooftop gardens across the bottom.
-L'Hermitage (lower section) just below eye level at centre right with rooftop full of trees.
-MNP Tower and Telus Office Tower appear in second pic in gap on the right. You can see the MNP Tower crane poking up in the far distance.

Yeah, especially the shot where it's lit by the morning sun. The glass normally dark, it glows sort of bronze yellow.

Two cellphone shots of the aforementioned glass.
