Nothing like a forum full of hate. Honestly does anything please anyone here anymore? Seems like all anyone does around here now days is complain about anything and everything.

um, I kinda like the denver street project but thats about it.
having expectations is not a bad thing.

Not news, but something else positive just to show how far we've come:

I was looking at a map of the west side of downtown using the map program on windows 8.1. The map is several years old. (circa 2007)

I noticed the following projects were missing:

New North Temple Viaduct
Hyatt Place Gateway
Airport TRAX
North Temple Frontrunner Station
New Office Building in the north side of the Gateway
Bridges at City front
City Station
New Biomat Building
Liberty Gateway
Seasons at City Creek
Intermodal Hub TRAX extension (under construction in map)
Hyatt House and new Marriott now on the way

These projects make the map look allot different than that area does today.
Not bad for a down economy.

I'll be in town for Christmas with my wife visiting family, and I'm not sure if I'll have time for this, but I wanted to see how much interest there is in meeting up this year. In the past, Future Mayor, JediKermit, StevenF, UtAzlover, WasatchOne, and others have attended. It would be great if we could also have those on here who have contributed to the forum over the years, like Delts 145, Stenar, Comrade, SLC Projects, Viperlord, UTPlanner, and anyone else. I know we've all had strong personal disagreements, and maybe being anonymous is what you'ld like to keep, which I understand. But, I am curious who you all are like in person. So, if you are interested, please reply to this, and I'll try to set something up.

Wow, those are big! Looking good 111 main and PAC. I'm sure this warmer December weather has help move this development at a faster pace.

I too would be up for a meet. Just let me know when and I will see if I can make it. A meet now would be great since I am moving back to Cache Valley at the end of this month and won't be in the Salt Lake area anymore. It is much harder to find the time to drive down from there for a meet than to drive the 15-20 minutes it takes now.
