I just mean that, even with all that cold, winter misery, it's not worth moving - especially not south.

Bahaha... Marty_Mcfly just messaged me saying it snowed. I hadn't looked out.

I would've missed our first snow-on-ground of the year downtown. It's not our first snowfall. We've had snowflakes falling downtown twice now, they just never reached the ground.

Up in Mount Pearl, they had snow the day before yesterday on the ground. But it was still raining downtown, never snowed at all, not even in the air. This is what it was like near my parents' place that day:

+8, calm and partly to mostly cloudy early this morning in Victoria. High of 10 again today with a chance of showers. Looks like we had a shower overnight! Awesome, it's been awhile and I kinda missed it

Nice to have the warmer temps back, hope they stay for a long while

We managed a high of 10 yesterday with lows of 1 to 5. Twas a nice day.

Actually Victoria Gonzales (the best weather station for Victoria proper's weather) and the the Harbour weather station have yet to go below freezing this season. The coldest at Gonzales during this "cold snap" (day time highs throughout the south coast still reached between 6 and 9 degrees during this time) was 0.8 degrees.

Yup. Some areas did not dip below zero overnight during the cold snap - Esquimalt is another station, plus UVic only dipped below on one night. Not too bad at all

Living on the eastern end of one of the great lakes is so much fun in the winter.

The snow squalls haven't stopped the past three days.
We've got almost as much snow in the past two weeks as we got total in November and December of last year.

18cm of snow already this November in Windsor. That puts us ahead of last year's pace...which was the snowiest winter in the city's history.

For what it's worth, it's currently +2C and sunny in Moncton. We had some snow earlier this morning.

There's a warm-up coming this weekend and early next week. It's supposed to be +13C in Moncton on Monday!

We spent the entire day at basically the same temperature.

It didn't warm up, but the snow melted anyway, thank God.

Awesome news, MonctonRad. If you guys are on warm on Monday, we should warm up within a couple days.

Just checked - Wednesday for us is forecast to be 11C. Cold until then, though.
