- 7 today in Winnipeg Region, about 5 or so degrees below normal.

Kind of depends how you define a "clear sunny day", I'm sure most winter days get some sun in some form or another, but according to wikipedia, every month of winter in Vancouver has >50% of the days seeing some rain. Some of the months almost 70% of the days see rain.

What does that have to do with there being more sunny days in the winter than snowy days?

The power outage that affected a large area on the Avalon, including Branch, St. Brides, Southeast Placentia and a number of other communities have had electricity restored -- as have all areas in St. John's that lost power around 4:45 a.m. Overhead line damage was the cause in the metro area.

It got down to -2C with a windchill of -10C. Torture.

Got up to 0C with a windchill of -7C.

Currently -1C with a windchill of -8C. FML.

It's still -2C.

Windchill of -6C.

But it's supposed to warm up to 3C today, and 15C tomorrow. So, no complaints at all about today if we actually do get tomorrow to compensate.

Got our first accumulation of snowfall overnight and it is still coming down lightly. I'd say between 2-4 cm. None of stuck on the roads though really, I suppose they are still too warm.

Currently 0.1 degrees.

Raining in Rabbittown, slob snow that was melting as soon as it hit the ground at Confederation Building, and thick, ground-covering snow in Mount Pearl. All of these things are just minutes apart, at different elevations.

EDIT: Snow at the top of Signal Hill too.

Kinda of a weird day/night/day here in Edmonton. We didn't reach our high of +2 until 11 pm. The daytime high was -4, and rose in the evening to +2... and now expected to fall to -6 by afternoon.

It did get kinda of windy last night, with winds from SW to W to NW... could that be a bit of a chinook wind? (Edmonton's small chinooks usually come from Grande Prairie opposed to the ones that happen in Calgary that come from the WSW

Yah it was a bumpy ride up to McMurray this moring. And didn't have to take anything heavier than a fall coat. Got to YMM the rental agent mentioned is was warm outside, -9 when i arrived.
