What makes me smile in that shot is thinking that NIMBYs in the 1920s were quite opposed to the totally modern and totally out-of-scale-with-the-neighborhood Price Building, and I would bet that more or less the same thing happened as well for the very massive Château Frontenac in the century before that. And now they've become core heritage bits of the skyline, which the NIMBYs of nowadays would fight
for, if any alterations were intended, instead of against, like their predecessors.
