Regina property taxes have been too low for decades. Its inevitable that they go up. They will continue to go up until the city can sustain its own infrastructure.

This isn't just a Regina problem, but is common throughout North America. The suburbs bankrupted us and we're now paying the cost of it.

I don't really like that design. Seems weird to me, but maybe it's one of those that will look better once it's done in real life.

Is Canterbury park the one by Balfour Collegiate and the Blood donor clinic?

Traffic lights are being installed at Broad and 15th Ave. Saw crews there this afternoon installing the piles and prepping the electrical at the bases of the poles.

Good to see, that corner was getting bad.

I was in Apartment 3b on the weekend, and the lady who worked there said Coda was moving and merging with the south store (Cade) due to lack of space in their location beside Leopolds. I hope something fills that space asap as it is a nice building, and a nice compliment with Leopolds. I also noticed a new clothing store opened up beside Labodega, not sure of the name though. Also does anyone have any info on the supposed nightclub beside Bombay and Sake? If that goes through that section of Albert will certainly seem more lively.

I don't know any details but I do know they are working on it.

Their Facebook page calls it a "designer consignment store".

Just to be clear, that means that this is a used clothing and accessories store that women can sell their used high end clothes on consignment once they have paid $4000.00 for a purse, used it twice and now want to sell it... correct?

Any talk of Leopolds expanding into the space? Part of Leo's attraction is that it's usually packed & vibrant... this is also a deterrant for many, though (why even try - it's going to be full).

Looks like Evraz place is planning a new event plex (maybe) and may be demolishing a bunch of the old exibition buildings.

I'm looking forward to another distinct name down the road such as credit union cooperators event plex. I do miss the days when buildings were just buildings and not plexes.

Link to the RFP for the project including a little map of where the new "event plex 2" would go. Gives an idea of which buildings would be demolished.
