Actually Deloitte is in the frame on the left-hand side, but completely blocked from view by the tree/ ratty beige apartment block.

On the far left you can see rocabella & TDC peeking into view - can't wait to see that gap fill up !

I like the green lighting. They now look much better at night than during the day.

I really like the Griffintown skyline photo. It is another example that shows the scale of Montreal - when looking at the whole skyline of Montreal, that bit would not even register.

Oh I agree I can't stand the green lighting. Almost any other colour would have had a nicer effect but I suppose they felt obligated to match the corporate logo...

I like the green lighting. It gives the buildings a softer appearance. I'll tell you, I'll take green lights over the actual shit-brown concrete panel colour of the complex any day.

It's not very tall, but it's definitely not ugly. Every time I look at it I'm envious of the Aldred Building, Royal Bank Tower, and all the stunning heritage structures in Old Montreal. You call it dated, but I see timelessly elegant buildings most cities would kill to have.

Never knew Calgary had any tall highrises outside of the core. Whats the building behind the core to the right? Looks to be around 30 floors tall or so.

I see both. Some of the buildings look dated, others look timeless.

Totally agree. I am familiar with cities and towns in that region and found the same thing about Timmins vs. Rouyn. Rouyn has a number of nice charming cafés and restaurants in its downtown, something which is unheard of in Timmins. Rouyn is also a more interesting city culturally (it has a pretty decent film festival for example) in spite of the fact that it has similar demographics and its population is much more homogenous than that of Timmins.

Those are the Westgate Park tower. Brava (2006), Encore (2008), and Ovation (2010). They sit across Bow Trail from the Westbrook LRT station (2012).

There are some other highrises outside of downtown. There's the South Macleod Trail cluster, the Brentwood/University cluster, and isolated tower complexes at South Glenmore Park and Point McKay. Outside of these, yeah, the highrise development is heavily concentrated in Calgary.
