I don't know how many people have bought pre-sales before, but nothing happens immediately, it typically takes a few days at a minimum, usually 1-2 weeks.

And you can walk away within 7 days as well, no questions asked.

Sounds right. They probably wrote on 50% of the building and have 120 firm deals that are past the rescission period. Still not bad. Its not easy trying to create buyer urgency in a 500+ unit building.

Sure looks bulky. Not the best-looking tower for sure.

Can someone make it so this tower is listed in the 11-30 underconstruction in the Canada section?

And just as a reminder, a building in considered U/C in the Canada section has soon as a fence is put up around the site and digging starts

(Also civic in Surrey needs to be listed)

Toronto has e condos and Massey tower listed as U/C why isn't brentwood?

Smile Brentwood

5 reasons why people should buy Brentwood now
1 Much better value now than later, tower 2 is already more expensive than tower 1 when you factor in the stories.
2 Amazing unobstructed views most units. Why would you buy metrotown when all you see is back of buildings and needs binocular to see the majestic mountains. Brentwood mountain and water view is like living in Switzerland everyday.
3. Quieter neighbourhood because you are north of sky train . Most of future developments will be south of skytrain in the industrial area
4 Much more integrated community with only 1 developer. Buildings are planned so that they do not obstruct the view.
5. Pay a little more in strata in exchange for 24/7 enhanced security is worth every penny.
6 Closer to SFU and the many Burnaby mountain trails
7 More people buy will generate more money for community services, they are already talking about community center right on site.

I hope developer will put in a full scale grocery store in the podium of tower 2 . Reason why Marine Gateway is sold out in 1 day is because they have T and T supermarket on site and a movie theater and of course the Marine drive skytrain.

5 reasons, more like 7 reasons hahaha.. Bought one unit, hope it will go up in value though. Fingers crossed

I disagree with his point #5 though, other buildings like Solo District or Vantage also have 24hrs conceirge, but the maintenance fees are still much lower.

Brentwood

i bought a unit facing North.... just cant understand why this towel 2 isn't selling like hot cakes. The whole 28 acres success depends on how well this phase 1 does. Developer really has to deliver the mega people friendly outdoor mall as envisioned. i guess the extra strata fee is to make sure this station does not turn into another Joyce/Collington station. I hope this brentwood redevelopment will turn into a satellite city in itself that people envy, and truly work, play and visit.

How did you decide between the A1 and A2? I decided to go with A1.. because it's closer to a gas meter room rather than an electrical room. When was the last time you checked how many units were already sold?

I will give you my reason. I am 100% out of the Vancouver real estate market and there is a 0% chance I will get in it. To all their own though. It makes more sense for me to rent and enjoy the freedom of flexibility and using my money in other ways. I do think Brentwood is going to be a wonderful community in the future though. Will be interesting to see how the market shapes up with a significantly lower Canadian dollar next year and more pressure on our western Canadian economies. In summary the project is over priced imo, but so is every other project in the region.
