Ya saw that but thought I'd clarify its KLM for YEG and AF for YVR. The two airlines are the same company I understand?

Hey, don't steal the guy's thunder. By reiterating it, it makes it even more evident.

This redundant post brought to you by the Redundant Department of Redundancy.

I just think it's best to avoid such press releases even if it's to detract from other airports. Bordering on embarrassing.

We all just need to take a step back and look what we do have. Pretty impressive route network in my opinion.

Apologies but my post was just for clarification purposes and was not to boost another airport's good news. That would be tacky and classless.

This city is getting too cold for my comfort, time to head off to Vegas once again for Aviation Nation this week. Hopefully there are no more Antonov's sneaking in during the next week, I'll let tonights one slip by.

It's ok, I would be putting that PR machine to work as well when some said backwater pickup truck YYC feeder receives a new competitive international flight

Didn't even realize one was in tonight, usually someone pipes up here on the forum. I guess everyone is still in the afterglow from 2 weeks ago...

Joking aside, I wouldn't necessarily call the new YEG service by KL "competitive" to YYC. That would be kind of counter intuitive to KL themselves and their YYC flight. More like they seem to see the opportunity to be able to serve both and make money. Something both cities can like.

I HAVE to say, I am bugged that this pic made "explore" on Flickr and is now my most viewed photo. I don't understand how something that is really so mundane made the cut.

Yeah to an avgeek it's cool and all, but compare this photo to say my Canada Day fireworks from years ago at arriVa, how did that not make the cut?

You just been at the right place at the right time and rode the wave of local avgeek nirvana when we got the 2 Ruslans. The rest went viral as the news spread across the country and the rest of the world. These are a.net calibre of exposure and glad somebody with camera skills and a quality gear got these pics.

Looks like our mutual buddy sandsman was playing on the ramp with the Ruslan of last night when they were here to load up the Lynxes. Can't wait to see his uploads..

From what I've heard, Explore is an auto generated algorithm that compares a newly posted photo to the poster's other recent photos, and if it sees a spike in activity (views, comments, favourites, etc) it deems the photo more 'interesting'.

I'm just glad they're not pay-per-use.

Not only that, they are also red rather than the old blue ones.

Delta's flights to SEA begin this week. Hopefully this doesn't impact Alaska's SEA service, AC's NRT service or siphon away too many India bound pax onto EK. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Sweet. AA codeshares with Delta so it'll definitely impact them.

I don't think so. Unless you meant code sharing with another carrier?

I arrived into YYC from LAX today and was offered a White Hatter golf cart ride from the gate to the customs hall. I was mentioning the new "people mover" system being introduced when the new terminal opens, and the White Hatter said they were just told about it yesterday (but the media and the YYC website has had that info for a couple of weeks now). Sheesh! These are the people who will be driving them so they should have been told about it before now!

AA codeshares with AS and QX, apparently... definitely not mainline DL, but SkyWest flies for everybody so I don't even know. Maybe.
