Does anybody know if there are any plans on the table for the Gordon Block (to the west of the twins). It seems like such a prime location with lots of potential. I could see retail, pubs, restaurants going in there. With the plaza now complete, it would be great if there were some pubs with patio space onto the plaza like the o'hanlons block on scarth.

You guys have seen Saskatoon's new potential aspiring projects. Saskatoon is starting to "grow up." Regina last 'grew up' back in '79 when the SGI Building was completed. Regina is sorely overdue for new 'heights' as well. [We] hope the Hill family will respond.

News reports a while back stated that Harvard had asked for approval to demo it. I believe they are required to have a redevelopment ready to go before they can apply to demo and lift the heritage watch designation or whatever it is called. So nothing is happening, especially with the looming office inventory glut. I am sure Harvard has no interest in re-habbing it.

They also don't own 'Western Place' to the west of that. It is possible that this was the location of Harvard's proposal for the SGI tower.

Harvard will hold on and do nothing until someone requires a new office tower. Which will be 5+ years at minimum.

Personally I am highly skeptical this will ever happen. That is a large project requiring a lot of space to be leased/sold for construction to begin. If this were in a bigger city it would be more realistic but this is Saskatchewan, and given a cooling economy and the history with River Landing I wouldn't expect this to proceed anytime soon. I don't know any of the details of this project so could be totally out to lunch, but I am typically skeptical with these large projects that get announced in either Saskatoon or Regina, the province is just not big enough to support them.

Ales Club people in Regina. I know someone who has tasted their development beverages and said that they are...drinkable. But more craft beer choices is always a good thing. Sorry that's all I know.
