I want to repeat my question about Hamilton and Toronto with telephoto compression. I remember people complaining about making mountains looking like they're almost within cities they're far from, so I was wondering if Toronto could be made to look way closer to Hamilton.

came across this shot of Winnipeg on Flickr by Bryan Scott.. thought it was cool because I've never seen anything from this angle before.

Condos along Wellington Crescent on the Assiniboine River, near Osborne Village.

/\ Stunning. And what I find interresting about those two Vancouver pics is that they show very well that the skyline is not just blue/green glass.

Might not be able to compete with the big cities, but it does have the tallest building between Toronto and Calgary...

Niagara Falls, taken by me today:

^ I would have to agree..Both QC and Vancouver have amazing natural settings..Playing the "what if" game..Imagine the back drop if both Yellowknife or Niagara Falls were major centres?..Couldn't somebody bring in the falls closer to Toronto using some sort of super duper telephoto lens?..Seen zanier things on here.

Yeah I didn't realize that... but whatever... I meant simply that N F has a taller building than Hamilton, Winnipeg, Regina and Saskatoon. Cities far larger, and I'm talking about the city of N F, 82 000, not Niagara Region.

Niagara Falls, Ont. has most if not all of the tallest buildings in Canada who are native to Niagara falls, Ont.

Totally agree.

Now, for the 3rd place, it's hard to tell... Maybe a tie between many cities.

I had a real crush on Halifax when I last visited this summer, but Victoria, St-John's, Ottawa, are also stunners for sure.
