I'm DT now and noticed it. I'm really excited about it. Im guessing the mid section that is blacked out will also be lit. I hope it changes color but even if it doesn't it will be a major lighting addition.
I looked at the lighting a little closer last night and noticed it is on the southeast corner of the building and the middle section that is not lit up is a section of the building with balconies on the corner. I don't think the middle section will be lit up because of those balconies. I also noticed they are placing trees on the building in various spots. Always nice to see that. And the garage section closest to gables is already covered with the decorations that I'm sure they'll put on the entire garage.
Lol both towers are playing light wars with one another.
Well it would really suck to have an East facing bedroom on the same level as the Monarch's crown with the contently changing colored lights. In other news, the last crane was coming down today.
I saw the lighting on the building this morning. I think it looks very unattractive. It's stark...way too bright. It also looks disjointed and oddly placed. Not a fan.

I hope that there is more to the lighting than what they have now. I agree that it seems odd. Maybe it will connect with some sort of roof lighting.
If they are trying to mimic the 360 tower's lighting, it's going to look strange especially with that gap in between.

yeah, that gap looks pretty awkward. Bowie just ain't doing it for me now that it's almost done. One of those projects that doesn't turn out quite like the renderings.

Still, it seems like some projects treat their mechanical rooftop areas and lighting as an afterthought. I really don't understand that since those can be some of the most important aspects of a building's design.

Hello, so what would kind of lighting scheme would you like?
I think something more subtle and understated is better for residential buildings. I'm not a design person so I'm not sure what, if anything, I would do for lighting on that building, but they way it looks fluorescent lighting looks awkward. Lighting should accent and highlight a building's design, not overpower it.

The "blank" area is wehre the floor plans change.... those floors have balconies on the corners. If you look at the renderings on the adds at the bottom of this page you can see the white highlight on the edge of the building! (It's a "twilight" rendering..... so you can see light from the building as well as see light 'On" the building.)
