Looking at the two renderings showing the south side of the tower, there are some slight differences with the top. Notice the one on the right has a more flat parapet on the west side, while the rendering on the left shows some kind of awning over the roof. You can see that awning from above in the rendering Matt posted.

There's also a shelf that overhangs the facade, and it looks like they played with that a little in deciding how long to make it.

Anyway, it looks to me like in both renderings that the wedge/spire thingy rises higher above that shelf than it has on the building so far. There's also that little notch (a door?) embedded in that wedge, and so far it hasn't shown up.

Also, if you look at the rendering on the left, you can count 9 window bays on the left, that also show up on the building now. Then there are three more in the middle of the building on the rendering that also show up on the building. After that in the rendering, it looks like there is a wider window bay. The wedge on the roof stops at that bay, but on the building now it looks to be longer. So *maybe* they've made some adjustment to it that could make the wedge taller.

There was more metal scaffolding/framing in place above the existing fin this morning. It might be for another pour. We'll know soon.

Maybe the concrete in in the photo is the roof of the slant but there will be a parapet of sorts rising above it.

unfortunately it looks like they're framing the concrete slant for glass install.

Apparently they had a bad batch of concrete at the top and had to demolish part of the wall. As of yesterday they were placing concrete again.

It's possible that they had to shorten the fin since the pool is on the roof. Remember thats the reason why they left the two nubs exposed on the Four Seasons Residency Tower cause it would have blocked the sun too much. I still think they could have cladded the squares themselves with some sort of feature to blend in with the tower.

good point, stupid reason. I hate to break it to y'all, but I just looked from my balcony with binoculars and they are indeed installing framing for glass on the existing concrete fin. It's being bordered off at the top too.

I'm DT now and noticed it. I'm really excited about it. Im guessing the mid section that is blacked out will also be lit. I hope it changes color but even if it doesn't it will be a major lighting addition.
