I hate when stores have pushy people, if I say I don't need help, I don't lol. Even with the "Sales" they were doing things were still overpriced IMO.

Ponce City Market's First Office Tenants Move In

Today, Ponce City Market's first office tenants, athenahealth, unveiled their sweet new 60,000-square-foot digs. The Watertown, Massachusetts-based health IT company will bring 200 employees initially then as many as 600 jobs to their new PCM offices (which may, according to the Business Chronicle, expand to up to 120,000 square feet over the next five years).

As the most screwed up mega-block in Buckhead which has probably the most negative impact on traffic, it'd be nice if they'd wise up and use this as an opportunity to connect Tower Place, but instead it's just used as a dedicated parking deck entrance again.

Or maybe two towers? 550,000 sf of office plus 50 condos and 300 apartments would be quite a bit for a single building.

I think we are looking at the future tallest building in Buckhead if this is one tower. 3344 Peachtree/Sovereign has 470K of Office and 99 Condos at 48 stories and 650ft tall. This could be substantially larger.

Looking at Google Maps, I don't believe the land size can accommodate more than 1 tower. This is a very exciting development to watch.

I am no expert, but I think you're right. This has the potential to top well over 700 feet.

Two towers is a distinct possibility-- esp. looking at the site plan--

i had to back a page and see what you guys were talking about.. i was just driving down 400 south the other day admiring the new pedestrian bridge and thinking "you know, they really need to build something on this parking lot on the west side of the pedestrian bridge"

How many floors is Sovereign again? this is gonna be awesome.

link to the biz journal article again for those who just tuned in like me:

EDIT: ok Sovereign is 48 floors. so yeh i really hope this is one tower honestly. Buckhead needs a new tallest. And i hope they do something really interesting with the architecture. Sovereign is one of my favorites

Is this project coming back to life?!?!
To me that looks a lot like the Chicago Hilton Garden, with some condos added on top.

This is exciting to see what happens, and I agree that this will more than likely be tallerr than 3344...but the elevation of that lot is substantially lower, so it probably won't look as tall, even if it's taller than 3344.

Hanover files plans for Buckhead Village apartment tower

Quote:
The Hanover Co. has filed plans for a 351-unit apartment tower next to the Buckhead Theatre, a sign of more big changes ahead for the Buckhead Village.

Parking would be blended into the Hanover project for both its mixed-use development and the Buckhead Theatre. Hanover would also develop about 13,000 square feet of street-level commercial space, according to early concepts.

Unfortunately (depending on how you look at it) it looks to be 2 towers based on the images they provided... There is one image that shows a more detailed ground level site plan and one that shows a little more context and what appears to be a roof plan showing 2 towers. Also of note, the office building looks to be a simple rectangle, so I'd imagine something akin (in size and massing) to Tishman Speyer's new tower across 400 with an approximately 20 story apartment tower like we see going up everywhere.

What images? The one in the ABC article only show 1 new development. The other building in those drawings says "existing office building".

Very interesting proposal. Definitely not the style I would have expected for that location, but the street level looks decent enough. The curve should catch some nice light too.

They provided 2 images in the article. The second looks to show more of a roof plan with what appears to be 2 towers, the first shows what looks like the ground floor.

Click on the article link and click on the image of the site plan and then to go image 2 for the context/roof plan.

Is it one of these famous projects where 1 is built and the other is for future.............
