I assume that to someone living in the city of Vancouver that they don't consider Richmond to part of Vancouver. Same type of deal. It's why my natural tendency is to clarify that I grew up in the Toronto area, but to Albertans it's all just Toronto, and a huge percentage of them don't like Toronto which is why I sometimes say I'm from Hamilton.

To be honest with you I don't know how Vancouverites feel about it since it hasn't really come up with any that I know. But I don't think they'd consider it "not part of Vancouver" the way that Kelowna is for example.

How curious is it that an article from the USA Today places 7 American cities in the top 10, including St. Louis (other than the arch, nothing interesting) and DC (which, no offense to the city, doesn't even have a skyline)? To me, the number one is Hong Kong by a mile.

Calgary shouldn't be in the top 10 and we are better than Dallas, St Louis, DC and can maybe compete with SF.

It's safe to say that an equivalent Chinese article, also supposedly global in scope, would likely not have St. Louis in its top ten.

I think it's not just tall buildings but Landmarks.... Like the Space Needle in Seattle, or the "Arch" in St. Louis, Reunion Tower in Dallas, ect.

LOL, I see it now.

You called it "SSC's user-voted list of the world's top skylines; I clicked on your link and saw the results of the polling of SSC users. Looked at those SSC user-voted results, saw NYC ranking first, HK second... Bangkok fourth, etc.

Then after I was done looking at those results of this SSC user polling that you linked to, I closed the window...

This time I did scroll down and saw different rankings. But on the first time, when I saw the poll, I thought that it was it. That poll matched what you said the link was... How could've I had known that the thread following that poll would have different rankings than the poll?
