Unless you did mean to say that the Mtl subway s'ennuie de toi now that you've moved away from the area... if so you have a pretty high opinion of yourself as a special passenger
i know that downtown and whyte avenue have bones etc., but there is not a single street in this photo that would be anything approaching pleasurable to walk down. it's like a whole district of forklift driving schools, dad-after-the-divorce condos, office supply stores and maybe a quizno's or something.
I agree just for the area in the foreground. In the area just to the left, out of frame, it is quite a lovely walk, and one of the streets has a nice Italian popup market (or something like that?) on some weekends. I will get some photos of downtown Edmonton this weekend.

That's kind of the point of the whole arena district. In 5 years this area should be full of pedestrian activity.
