Thanks man! I'm bummed too that this thread died so quickly but it's hard to be too disappointed considering the state of the photo forums in general.
Most people are unable to distinguish between great photos (like yours) and terrible ones (most of the photo forum, and interwebs in general). I think your thread deserves to be at the top.

Amazing swan song to your life in LA, just fantastic. You seemed to capture a much more authentic perspective than what is traditionally shown, thanks for that. Good luck in college, it is indeed the best time of life, so full of excitement and opportunity, and there's no better place to do that than New York.
I think the reason your thread didn't get to 3 pages of replies is there has been an over saturation of LA threads lately. People see LA here, in movies, and TV I think forumers are craving something new and fresh. You have great skills and we all realize that.
