Congratulations, young man. I think you have captured the almost boundless diversity of L. A. better than almost anyone I know has. You could put these photos between binders, mingled with some text, and have a successful book on your hands.
Enjoy college. There will never be a freer, happier time in your life than your years as an undergraduate - endless opportunities, but still not an oppressing load of responsibilities. Enjoy New York, too, although after a year, the vile weather may have you contemplating a transfer to UCLA or USC. |
Nice pics! Very...LA....and I mean that in a good way.

IMG 3226 : Where are those glass towers never seen them before.
Also 3768 and 3769 Interesting vantage point that somehow misses the density of Hollywood and the areas just west of DT. From that angle LA looks very suburban or "undense" with that big swath of green in the center right... Where was this taken from? I have never seen LA look like that before. Great shots, I'm always jealous of your food budget. I could easily spend 3 grand a month on food trying out new places here in Southern CA. |
Beautiful shots. Brings back memories of the summer before leaving home.
|
Nice set. I remember how excited I was to go off to college my freshman year; that feeling left when those architecture all nighters started.
What's your major? |

Great set. I look forward to the photos you take while exploring New York.

Where in the HH? Can you give me the nearest intersection and if you have a shot from there looking more to the South please post when you have a chance. Downtown looks very diminutive from those two shots, not a negative just saying.

we are all in for many treats when you start shooting pics in NYC. You have spoiled us viewers with your great LA threads. Best of luck to you starting college. I'm sure you will love NYU, it's a fabulous school!

Beautiful scenery, I look forward to what you will bring to us from NYC in your new chapter in life.

AHHHH, I miss L.A. so mud when I see these pics. Welcome to to New York though. I can show you the ropes if need be.
|
Great scenes. Man, I remember my summer/fall flying from the nest off to college. Did your friends put on the faces of angst on purpose or just subconsciously? At least that's how I viewed them. :) Wishing you great fun and success in school in NYC.

This thread is amazing and deserves more publicity!

Very nice and good luck in NYC. Just as my oldest son starts at UCLA in a couple weeks, I'll be down that way much more.
Lots of high tone food in this thread! |
