Kingston may be in line for a new tallest too, depending on how plans for the redevelopment of the Downtown North Block go. Our existing tallest is a 17 story residential highrise built in 2008.

Southern Ontario is also south of northern California I beleive.

Only the absolute southernmost parts of the province of Ontario are south of the California/Oregon border. Less than 1% of the provincial land area I believe.

It let's Toronto abuse the East of Quebec rule just like Newfoundlanders do. I'm not sure why they would, but they could.

What what!!

So, did I speak too soon? Is there confirmation on the height on this bad boy? Do we have a true tallest boom across the land on our hands? What does this cross-country sky piercing portend...continued upwards movement or a boom before a bust? I look forward to the latest, most updated future skyline renders for Toronto, Montreal, Calgary...

Looks great! ... it also looks like a lot of squarefootage.
What's going on with that highway through the podium?

I think its an exit ramp for the 720.

It looks like a large floorplate largely because its got a floorplate of a much taller building without the additional height. If it were 250 meters instead of ~200, it would look much less out of place I would think.

I figured out what use Quebec stretching a little west of Toronto. It lets Calgary claim the tallest building east of Quebec (probably).
