I didn't realize they had two towers for the same placing boom, interesting.

Definitely my most anticipated construction project in Canada. It's really moving.

Toronto has five time our population and we're getting comparable skyscrapers. Be happy. Just wait a couple years.

The tower will be nice, but the plaza is what most Calgarians should enjoy the most

45 Bay is OK, but the Bow is just as good if not better, IMO.

I like the fact that the Bow is a single tower. I'd prefer 45 Bay if it wasn't a complex.

The Bow is great! It's also very dominating in the skyline because of it's girth/width more than if it was a little taller and much more slender.... But we've had this discussion before. I was comparing 45 Bay's Taller tower with Brookfield Place.

Expected to hit ground level in four months. Already working on parking level three, with four more to go.

I took a couple big panos from the parkade, and forgot to post. Irrelevant now though cause they're a couple weeks old

Any idea the total number of parking stalls? Seams it is going to bring a lot more vehicles into the core...

The total parking complex will be massive, in the order of thousands of stalls. 7 floors over an entire city block. I know Suncor Energy Centre is about 1100 stalls over 4 floors, so I'd guess 2000 or more, considering this block is a good 10 - 15% larger..

^ You have to figure in the demolition of the Bow Parkade, however, so the U/G parkade at Brookfield's taller of the two towers should absorb a chunk of those cars (particularly as they're constructing the second tower)

Yes, half of the parking won't come online until like 2020 or later

Just received word (extremely reliable) that over 250 people cancelled their parking at The Bow Parkade over this past month. Perhaps they're cleaning out the parkade in preparation for demolition. This is the best sign I have heard or seen pointing to this.

Just wondering out loud here (off topic - I know) - has there ever been a construction webcam thread created?

I only ask because I do find it cumbersome to go through a construction thread looking for a webcam link that might've been posted at some point in time and especially so when a thread gets to be as big as this one. The new Edmonton arena thread would be another example - I know there's at least one construction webcam watching that site but finding the link is a royal PITA.
