Absolutely. I visited last year. The old building stock outclasses either city, and by a HUGE margin over Toronto. Melbourne is just outstanding. I like Toronto, but I
loved Melbourne. Booming like Toronto, but with Montreal's bones and Vancouver's laid-back attitude.
Perth (which I also visited, but in 2003) is the closest thing to the Calgary of Oz. Straddling a thin river, with teeming skyline/population count, far from other urban centres, and just chock-full of "Can-do" people (
