Home Werx opened a store beside their Davie location called Room In Order, mostly home organization stuff, actually a much stronger concept IMO, than Home Werx.

Much of the merchandise Home Werx offered was sold at larger kitchen and home stores at lower prices, for example Hudson's Bay had a better Bodum selection with better prices. As they went higher-end their concept became redundant. Room In Order is still going strong and they've opened a second location across from Whole Foods at 8th and Cambie.

the old homewerx spot is sitting empty. homewerx used to have that storage/organization store years ago, i liked homewerx cause they had a number of candles no other stores in town actually carried which was rare considering most of the stores in that type of merch carried the same stuff

Interesting that the logo does not face the intersection given the high volumes of pedestrians coming from Robson west.

Separate logos on the Robson and Burrard facades would have been more effective.

the logo is easy to miss in person, they have some tv screens in the windows which you can see flashing going on behind the paper when u walk by

also that new supposedly fancy makeup store by shoppers drug mart is awful, its just a shoppers drug mart. the murale concept and store is much better, sephora has no worries or competition from sdm

There are also signs, perpendicular to the facade, under the glass awnings along Robson and along Burrard, I do agree, however, that the main logo-sign could have had far more impact, would have been nice to have it rotate.

Agreed, it looks rather out-of-place along that premium stretch of Burrard. It looks simply like a rather cluttered and awkward two-level basic Shoppers flanked by Louis Vuitton and Victoria's Secret flagship.

Not awful at all: just a nice modern comfortable convenient store in that neighbourhood.

The bottom floor of the Shoppers is all Beauty Boutique and you can tell they put effort into making it more stylish than the average one. The pillars have a continuous video screen running around each side, for example.

And the Lululemon logo is quite visible from both Robson and Burrard...

Apologize if I'm behind on this-but any word on what has leased the corner space at the Carlysle redevelopment? I thought the corner space and the old Keg space beside it were originally separate, but I see now the Keg space is being ripped apart and the two spaces seem to be getting combined-I assume they wouldn't do this unless a big retailer was taking both spaces?

Rumour a while back was Chanel for the corner two level Carlyle space, then heard they've long since pulled out, I'm not aware of any tenant for that space as of yet.
