Dwils01: Did you flip that shot of downtown from the CN Tower on purpose?

Took me a moment before I realized it wasn't quite right

Yes, I said one was different. I was pretty sure most would figure it out.

Ah, gotcha. I was looking for the different angle of view

In a mirror universe, perhaps the OMB (with a backward B in their logo) is a large corporate organization that has the tallest office building in Canada

When I saw that pic I was trying to orient myself. I couldn't figure out what angle you had taken it from and starred at it for so long I thought I would go nuts. Glad I read the next entries after that or I would have been totally perplexed.

You fooled us all, well done!

My golly, Calgary has a big skyline. I have no pics to show for it because my phone died unfortunately. Incredible how large the downtown is given the city's population.

Went out for a walk Sunday afternoon. Most just for construction photography, but I went out a little of the way to get this particular angle...

Skyline Aug. 2014 by RemotelyBoris, on Flickr

Would love to see some of the development on the western stretches of 9th and 10th ave go ahead. Would help to cover up the butt-ugly stuff in the West End, which hasn't seen much in the way of new construction in the last 7 or 8 years. The early stretch of the last cycle gave us ugly bastards like Discovery Pointe and Tarjan Pointe (though those wouldn't get covered from this angle except by stuff immediately adjacent).

Here's a crappy semi-skyline shot I snapped of Hamilton.

We're you unfortunate enough to catch a glimpse of the emerging skyline around the University? It pains me to admit I'm going to be moving into one of the monstrosities for the fall semester.

They're not great, but I honestly think a few of the towers are turning out a lot nicer than I expected. Namely Barrel Yards, Sage, and Luxe II.

It is an office building. It's the 17 storey Clarica Building. At 80 meters, it is the tallest building in the Kitchener CMA.

I agree about Barrel Yards. I play baseball at Waterloo Park a couple times a week and have enjoyed watching them go up. Amazing location from a resident's standpoint as well.

The main problem is the buildings are so lifeless at ground level. Parking garages in the back and an empty lobby facing the street. The area almost seemed more lively when it was primarily detached houses.
