That's a very unflattering angle of Aura.

Now let's see if that sexy glass gets past the podium.

That would be a nice surprise...

Yep! Exactly the scale I've always used when posting, and which there has been several discussions/arguments about in the past.

Would it be Canada's highest roof from sea level?

Actually, yes. I think Calgary is the highest major city (over 500 000). Though that is sort of a lame distinction.

Sorry for my ignorance.. but it just seems like Aura is taking forever to finish. Obviously I get that it's a huge project, but still. When did this project get started?

There is a good chance that would be Chateau Lake Louise, at an elevation 1661 metres. (plus ~ 30 metres since it has 9 floors)

Too bad, I was hoping for more translucent glass on the crown.

Great shot nonetheless

You don't want the glass on the crown to match the glass on the rest of the (curved part of the) tower?

God that tower would look fantastic if it wasn't for the boxy portion.

I think at that height it would look bland and awkward if it was just a tube the entire way up.

Even if it just had uniform curtainwall the entire way up, keeping the lower part boxy, it would be one of the nicest towers in the entire country. Possibly thee nicest in some opinions.

Disagree, simplicity is often far more attractive and unfortunately underrated, especially considering the great-looking glass on the curved portion, and the roof element.

As it is, it just looks like one fantastic tower mashed between two mediocre towers with uneven floor heights.
