Fall 2017 is the target date for first move-ins

So what's a good guess at being topped out... early winter 2016?

I don't think many of you realize how amazing the tapered glass on this building is going to be. Quite the architectural aspect for both the building and the city overall.

Just curious to know if theres a precedent for this tapering? It really doesn't look that amazing to me in the renders (or am I missing something?)

A friend of mine works for the steel company who was apparently recently awarded this job, scheduled to start just after this Christmas.

I really don't get the impression that it will be anything exceptional. The crown and street level are going to be a far bigger deal IMO.

Look for structural steel to start March/April 2015. Just an educated guess.

It's a pretty amazing site but I do wish you didn't have to go into the Bay Parkade to actually see what's going on. Some viewing ports in the fencing around the site would be nice.

Are the cranes on this site the same ones that were used on EAP? They look the same.

It's impressive how fast they're going. That's a lot of rebar.

I think tying rebar has to be one of the toughest trades going. Probably tied with doing concrete as they're both are back breaking work. Mind you concrete does have some machines.

Ages ago, I had a roommate that tied rebar for a living. Beast of a dude, had the grip like a pit bull's bite and could drink like a mo-fo.

Once in awhile I'd labour for him on the weekends for extra cash. Nothing like hauling rebar around all day to make one rethink getting an education.

That's a good bet, they were both Elis Don, and IIRC Blue Cypress mentioned that they were the same ones.

I expect this project to be complete to grade no later than the first day of winter. Some elements will be higher than that elevation.

Walters got it and that sounds accurate.

Yup, Heard Walters was awarded the project. I'm assuming it will be for both towers then so they will be chugging away for the next few years.
I want to see that grand staircase inside the podium galleria, that looks like one of those public gathering attractions which can give us our own Spanish Steps inside a Brookfield Box. Looking forward indeed..
