Yeah, Maguire Gardens is really beautiful. People do hang out there all the time, of all stripes. It is at 5th and Flower, so it's not tucked away up on Bunker Hill.
As for that sitting area of Hope, you'd never know it was there unless you walked up the steps - you can't see it from the street.
I like Grand Park as well, and I don't get the hate, especially given the location.
