Here are a couple more Halifax photos (most are in the photothread: http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/showthread.php?t=212049)

Prince Street below Hollis, all pre-war buildings.



Spring Garden and South Park Street, looking southeast, has a more eclectic mix.



I wish I'd gotten this one when the light was a little better. I like the mix of old houses in the foreground combined with the construction site and newer buildings in behind.

Here are a couple of photos taken from Province House. I didn't include these ones in the thread because they were taken with my phone.



Some of these buildings are tough to photograph because they're much taller than the street is wide:
