of course,
You can see Longueuil, Île Sainte-Hélène, Verdun, Le Sud-Ouest, Griffintown, Île-des-Soeurs, Westmount, Saint-Henri, Downtown Montréal, Old Montréal, Plateau-Mont-Royal, Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie, Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc Ex, Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve.

Mile-End

Jesus.

Am I full retard in what I said or do non MTL-ers sometimes call all that Mile End?

Either way, that dense area is insanely large. And you have to remember that's about as dense as 99% of my downtown... so seeing it over such a large area is just... heaven.

Le Plateau-Mont-Royal + Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie + Hochelaga-Maisonneuve + Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Ex : 65km²

Verdun-Sud-Ouest is also very dense. (10km²)

Yet this is just a fraction of the city. That picture doesn't even cover Cote des Neiges (one of the largest and densest neighbourhood), NDG, Lachine, Mount Royal, Outremont, Saint-Michel, Montreal Nord, cote vertu, ahuntsic, the West Island, Saint-Laurent, the eastern island and many more.

Amazing pic though.

The Mile-End is only 1/4 of the Plateau-Mont-Royal borough and is only about 5% of what you see on that picture. The area you see on the picture is about 20km X 20km. The Mile-End is about 1km X 2km.

And despite the hype, it isn't even the "real" heart of the Plateau, which is centered around avenue du Mont-Royal, from St-Laurent to de Lorimier.

Awesome shots, guys - and thanks for the info!

I'm probably the only non-SSP person in my city who doesn't think Vancouver is in the Rockies and, now, I know Mile End is just a little chunk of the three-floor spread, not the works.

Next time you get there Ryan, you need to try two things :

Fairmount Bagel and Kem Coba ( sherberts & gelatos )

Both are definitely the best ! and both are on Fairmount Ave.
