I'm fairly confident that will be the new Keg. My friend who works there mentioned that the current owners of the keg will be the ones building the new one on Dewdney. A couple of days ago the owner also mentioned that they were planning on having it done by christmas, but even he said that was a little optimistic and said it would probably open early next year. Same layout as the Southend Keg, however the lounge will be a bit bigger

Dirt excavated from the stadium will be dumped in that slough. I haven't heard of any new businesses being announced for that location. I would assume if a Superstore would open they would have a location within city limits instead of the Rm of Sherwood.

From the city's Facebook page...

Starting July 7, Hamilton Street will be closed to traffic between 11th Avenue and 12th Avenue for the assembly of a tower crane for the construction of Agriculture Place. The work is expected to be completed by July 11.

Nice. You can see the base of the crane up on the webcam.

Centre Square Place and Gardens on Rose look to be nearing completion (open fall 2014?). I'm curious what pops in next downtown. Other than 1855 Rose (which I don't even know if its going ahead) is there nothing else planned downtown?

Besides Agriculture Place I don't think there is anything major actually, literally, on the cusp of "going up" (that i can think of). Someone please correct me if i'm wrong.

I think you are correct. The only ones left are the two questionable ones (Rose and Capital Pointe).

I would guess that the downtown boom is basically over now. I think the best Regina can hope for is some revitalization of the area with some more pubs and restaurants and such.

Capital pointe is to start this month they say they have the excavation permit in at city hall and are waiting for the approved permit for five floors of underground parking , also a company from Alberta is financing the project , they say this is one of the largest projects of its kind in saskatchewan history

I wouldn't give up on Capital Pointe quite yet. The article in the Leader Post from April stated that construction would be set to start in July. This would coincide with the rumours about the steel purchase that was noted in the Capital Pointe thread.

Also, I saw a bus today that had an ad for the Northgate Mall saying "Change is Coming". Anybody know what's happening?

This development is not downtown but fairly significant in terms of saskatchewan developments what a great project hopefully construction will proceed soon

I hope it starts too, but I think with all the delays, we've earned the right to at least be able to call it questionable at this point...

Northgate Mall was sold last fall. At the time they stated there were plans for expansion and new retailers. Maybe that's finally coming.

If Northgate expands, wouldn't parking be compromised?

That seems to be the trend at most malls. Probably expect some restaurants on the lot as well.

I actually heard quite a while ago that there will be an Original Joes going up in the Northgate parking lot.

i would think with SGI offices staying put, 1855 Rose is basically dead.
