They must of realized that comcast was ready to go, so they probably figured they had to speed things up.

Or its because of us.

Maybe BOTH projects are getting under way now because of us.

Yeah, that's it.

Impressive building. Hadn't noticed how the glass lobbies make it appear to meet the ground only in the center. WOW!

Looking at the lower part of the building it does seem like a tiny part of the building goes over where they are removing the panels. Makes sense.

The site isn't opening up for some reason. Taking awhile to load. Any updates the past 2 days? Edit my internet service is acting out.
Read the article and i read that they plan on a 900-1000 foot office building like the cira north.

We might not have to wait too much longer for our next supertall after all! and might I add that at 54 storys and between 900-1,000ft a building designed like Cira Centre would look absolutely striking in that location.

^ Gotcha - that would really change things up

I also would love 2 or 3 600-1000 footers on Market east - one can dream

If a taller Cira North and Drexel infill (even without railyard) that whole area would really have transformed

a 1,000 footer would really change the skyline dynamic

^ Since I had a couple of minutes I threw this up as an idea on what a 1000 footer could look like.

Does the Cira 2 lot support a 1000 foot building?

Yeah. I think Philly would look amazing if somewhere around 22nd-26th and Spruce-Market got an 800 footer or so. I think it would just be nice to kind of connect the two sides a little better. Currently (by that I mean in this rendering), it feels like the distance between 30th street and 18th street is a little too far.

I kinda like the two mountain peaks. It also kind of mimics a bridge.
