As of Friday they were still drilling tests bores, cleaning up the site, drilling into the structure facing the train tracks, and continuing work on the garage and rooftop park. I'll stop by tomorrow to see if any further progress has been made beyond this.

Nearly finished with the test bores. Only a few more to go. Still drilling into the structure facing the train tracks. Still pouring cement and working on the parking garage/rooftop park. I would be very surprised if we didn't see some heavy machinery on site next week at the latest. I think the garage extension/roof top park is holding this up the most. Still a crane and two cement trucks on site for it.
Are they removing that structure? And is the building going all the way to 30th? Cause there are tracks under that structure. Or building going to be overhanging the tracks?

It doesn't appear that the structure will be removed. The front of the building will actually be behind or at the rear of that structure, and set back from the front of the garage, as visible in this rendering (and I don't believe there are tracks under that structure--they are in front of it):

Yeah, looks like the roundabout for the cars will be over that structure. So I guess they will still hide it. Or hopefully remove it... and just put a street level over it.
There are 2 tracks right under it. I've looked the other day. If you were to look through that hole that they have in the previous picture you would see them.
Yes, there are train tracks under the structure. IDK if they're removing sections of it to rebuild it or to accommodate additional support columns? Or if they're going to remove most of it entirely like they did with EVO. Guess we'll see!

I thought they just basically incorporated it into the base of Evo--cutting into its rear wall a bit--and didn't actually remove most of it. And are the tracks under there still being used? Are there power lines suspended over them? I haven't seen under there in person--only through Google Street View (in which only the tracks in front of it can be seen).

I was under the the Evo a week or 2 ago and it looks like the tracks are fully functional under the Evo.
Demolishing the structure... or at least part of it.
Looks at this point like they may be leaving the main structural elements (posts, beams, etc.), to which they'll tie in the new structure, and removing some or all of the nonstructural elements.
Maybe the next time you're there taking photos, you can discreetly ask a few questions and tell us what you find out. Of course, that would take away some of the fun and suspense.
