Walked by the old burnt out Arlington lot this morning....what a disgrace.

would a 311 blitz even accomplish anything?

maybe a email campaign to the (somewhat new) mayor and council? Has this issue even been brought up in this era of council?

How about a social media campaign? Our Mayor is often good for that.

I won't bother with my own councillor. Colonel Sanders has never bothered replying to my concerns presumably because I'm not part of his urbanista clique.

What a weird article, like if the reporter knew almost no background on the industry. A million tonnes per year give or take isn't tiny though. A big plant to build on spec for customers. About 30 times bigger than the former Encana plant near Grande Prairie, if my unit conversions are correct.

Yes it has... but a push would be good. We need a Metro, Journal or similar type of article on the site.

Councillors don't reply to every email, not even mine. Emails on a subject do go a long way though to inform Councillors on the mood or temperament of a particular subject, and often they do respond.

Also, do not forget to send or CC to specific General Managers and Sustainable Development along with Bylaw, the local community league and the EFCL.

Perhaps, though I found Ben Henderson a lot more responsive when he represented downtown.

Perhaps. I know both and think Scott will be equally effective once he gains more experience.

What is the blue thing on the far right near Victoria Promenade? And the thing in front of Meridian on 112 St? And what's the project down by the Legislature on 107 Street?

What street is Symphony on? I thought it was on 106 Street...is the blue tower something else and Symphony missing?

That blue tower in the foreground in front of the arena is not tall enough is it

yup 106.

Also, I received a marketing package from them, apparently up to now they have only been selling units with 15% deposits. They have now arranged for a bank to bridge 10 points of that until possession.

Hopefully their sales people are a little more knowledgeable this year than last. It would be a nice gateway building into downtown, adding something a bit more modern further south.
