That was the whole reason for originally consolidating both westbound routes at the same 2nd/middle platform (i.e. if both Evergreen and M-Line were to be through-routed through Lougheed Station).
So arguably, the through routing of M-Line to Production Way Station, reinforces the need for the wrong-railing to get both westbound routes to a common platform.

True, or with now the through routing, the need for a terminus platform for the millenium line is now not required, so in theory, the 3rd platform can now become westbound, both Braid and Burquitlam fed trains, current inbound would now serve Burquitlam bound trains, and the current outbound will service Braid bound trains, in order to remove wrong railing issue. Switches are currently in place to handle that movement.
