I think the difference is what type of floorplan you want and what type of amenities you want. Not sure what towers 3 and 4 will be offering, but Altus is the most unique with the penthouse amenity room. Stratus has studio sized units and Altus has small 3 bedroom units throughout. Stratus will have a fitness room with steam and sauna rooms, Altus has a rooftop multisport court and a fitness area shared with the office tower. Stratus will have rooftop fenced off dog exercise area.

Word is an Uncle Fatih's pizza has been confirmed as a part of the development in addition to Whole Foods, Shoppers, and BC Signature Liquor store. Not sure if that gives you any more incentive to buy here...

Uncle Fatih FTW! ... good mix of retail for sure. got to imagine a coffee shop of some sort tossed in there .... JJ Bean seems on a mega push as of late as does Cafe Artigiano and neither are in the Brentwood hood yet.

If you can afford it, Atlus (at the higher floors) is the best value, I suppose. There's a very good chance that the insane views will remain unobstructed for a good while which is great whether you plan to live there or resell in the future.

Solo is an amazing development if you're look for larger unit. Large selection of very nice 3 bedroom units in the first 2 towers.

I was almost set about getting a unit in The Amazing Brentwood until I found out about the skyhigh maintenance fee... Right now, I'm starting to lean towards Tower #3 of Solo District...

Pros of the Amazing Brentwood
- better views + starting from floor 33

Cons of the Amazing Brentwood
- maintenance fees are too high
- gonna be more crowded & noisy

Don't know whats left available in Altus, but the residential there starts on the 15th floor, the lower floors are office. That also provides a nice buffer.

I think SoLo is the best priced development in the Lower Mainland.

Not sure what's remaining, but Stratus 2br started at $430,000 2nd floor, and Altus 2br started at $430,000 15th floor. It is my understanding that there is not much to choose from up to the 18 floor in either, with more available the higher you go.

My bad. Stratus 2 br started at $380,000 for 917sqft

Altus 2br started at $430,000 for 847 sqft

Brentwood 2br start at 728 sqft

Stratus was such an amazing deal then... I missed the boat. Hopefully the third tower will offer great value as well.

I helped a close friend decide on a 2bdrm at Stratus on day-1 advance sales (they know someone at Magnum Projects). Also why I follow this area so closely.

The cheapest 2bdrms were plan D2-917sqft but only exist at floors 2 and 3 above the parking entrance ($379,900).

The original showroom 2bdrm plans are D1-935sqft and started much higher, I can't remember exactly but it was around $415,000 starting at 6th floor (5th floor had a larger balcony/terrace). This plan sold out very quickly.

The smallest 2bdrm and current showroom plan is D-907sqft and not a very good layout imo. I don't remember the start price of this plan but it was cheaper than the D1 plan and higher than the D2 plan.

The big surprise was plan E-943 2bdrm+den. They were offered 7th floor at $413,900 but wanted to pay <$400,000. They came back and offered 6th floor at $403,900 plus $10,000 2bdrm discount for being one of the first buyers promo. The catch is these low floor units are right in front facing the skytrain.

Visiting the site, it looks like the 6th floorplate is sitting just above the tracks so the view is meh but paid $393,900 for 943sqft 2bdrm+den. I think they got one of the better deals around at $418/sqft and a decent sized balcony.

That deal was definitely below the market price of the condos around, eh?

I don't know if it was necessarily below market. I believe the discount offered was to all those purchasers in the first waves of sales.

I see they are preparing the 18th floor.

Confirmed tenants for the first two phases of retail are Whole foods, Shoppers Drug Mart, Signature BC liquor store, BCAA, Uncle Fatih's pizza, Ricky's restaurant, a Dental Office and Starbucks. Only a few small spaces remaining to fill. Decent mix of uses, very convenient for residents living above.

Another Starbucks??? come on.... not very impressed by the list to be honest... Ricky's restaurant is too greasy and Uncle Fatih seems too low-class for this area

It's still the suburbs, after all...... Takes a while before the nicer chains are enticed into the area.
