The Harvard proposal for Hillsdale and 23rd will be a huge change for that neighbourhood. It appears that it willbe a very high end development.

The Hillsdale development feels like something out of Vancouver

80 residential units
Medical offices
Grocery Store
9 retail units
Coffee Shop
Views/access to the lake

In reality, it's one of the most high-end developments I've ever seen go in in this city. If this is how Harvard is approaching Regina development now I think we can all be glad at how our city is transforming.

They do Know the Regina market extremely well. This is some of the most valuable land in Regina and they want to make good use of it.

Both buildings have full-floor penthouses on top. 4100 and 4450 sq. ft. respectively, with massive terraces. These will each be >$2 million.

Wouldn't it be nice if they could plan for a bridge with a unique (landmark) design, like Winnipeg's Esplanade Riel Pedestrian Bridge or like Calgary's Peace Bridge? I am sure the City would prefer that but it is the cost thing again.

I think if there is a decent looking access midway between Broad and Albert that fits with the design of the area then I think we will be satisfied. Would be cool to do like Saskatoon is proposing with the green-way bridge. But I think that might as well (like the peace bridge) a bit more than wants to be spent.

That bridge looks fine in a rendering but in reality that will be a long stretch of bridge over a lot of steel, creosote treated wood and bare gravel with oil stains thrown in for good measure. I was always hoping the bridge incorporated some green elements/planters/shrubs on the bridge because there sure won't be any green when you are looking down.

Anyone knows Harbour Landing area will have a self standing Grocery Store like Sobey's, Co-op, Extra Food etc. Thank you.

I noticed that too. I think there is another version of the story that references a pub at the former Deli Lama on Scarth.

Another pub in that area will be nice: more options for those hitting O'Hans, Beer Bros, Victoria's Tavern, Fat Badger - less chance of finding 1 of 2 pubs in the area to be full... a real possibility right now.

Add in Freehouse, Shannon's, Leo's, The Lobby, Bushwakkers, and there are plenty of options within a few minutes of downtown.

Thought that was time limited like for 2 years or so, but not sure. There is a site for a bigger building west of London Drug. A grocery store would have been nice. Thanks.

I know that the owners of Flip /Salt /Atlantis are opening a pub downtown as well. Supposed to be this summer... From the sounds of it, it's going to be amazing. I think a bit classier than our current downtown pubs.
