I never knew they were studying a connection bridge between 23rd Ave and Assiniboine Ave E.... That would be a shocking change to the traffic flow in town.

Also noticed that O'Hanlons has opened an offsale beside Michi. In another example of the failure of Pat's Piazza, the City has killed the grass again in Victoria Park as the result of the nearly never used skating rink. That rink is supposed to be on the Plaza. Apparently there is not enough room, even though the Plaza is wasteland in winter.

Last year the re-sodded the whole thing. I assume they will do that again.

I was also quite surprised by that. The lake definitely impedes movement, but I can't see them spending the money on something like that.

The entire thing has been a debacle. It could have been done so well, but almost zero thought was put into any of the decisions.

The Assiniboine overpass was initially proposed to allow access between University Park & Douglas Park, as well as allow Douglas Park access to the Ring Road (southbound only, as is the case with Univ Park).

Douglas Park residents successfully peitioned against this - worrying primarily about increased through traffic. They likened it to converting their cul-de-sac neighbourhood into a secondary throughfare...

Sorry, to be clear I meant no double yellow at the Pasqua interchange with HWY 11 that was used as a comparison.

I agree that the on-ramp at Lewvan and HWY1 is completely prohibitive to make a left from SB Lewvan.

Yes - Rebellion Brewing has leased the entire building. I went to a preview night ealier this month. We had the chance to see their blueprints, marketing, and - most importantly - sample/provide feedback on their brews.

At one end, they'll have a small (65 seat?) taproom (main focus is the beer, but there will be light food/snacks, as well as food trucks outside); the rest of the facility will be their brewery. The outside of the building will get a makeover.

Their beer should be on-tap at selected Regina pubs (Beer Bros is a sure bet, Leo's, Lancaster & O'Hanlon's are also likely candidates) this summer. The Taproom will be open in the fall.

Their product will only be available on tap (at pubs/restaurants & the brewery) and via growler fills. Select, special beers intended for aging will be bottled - these will be the exception, not the rule.

The owners are 3 past Presidents of ALES (Regina's homebrewing club - routinely referred to as the best such club in Canada, and among the top in North America)... so they've certainly got the street-cred to pull this off. And from the samples I tried, their product doesn't disappoint.

Take a drive on that stretch between 3-4 when most university and siast students all get out. It's a nightmare.

Speaking of a nightmare. I wonder if they will ever install lights at the corner of 23rd and WP so that when events happen at Conexus Arts Centre that making a left turn will be much easier.

Sounds amazing! Why I asked is I just picture (or hope) that those buildings would go when that area gets redeveloped. Also, like 4 pages of comments today? Haven't seen that in some time.

At rush hour traffic can be backed up past Grant Rd. waiting to make a left onto Ring Road.

Yeah what the heck is going on there? That looks like a pretty decent-sized structure they are building.
