I may have spoken too soon

I think we might hear something very soon on this

Is he on his knees reading the 6pt text strategically placed at the bottom of the sign?? I suppose anyone wanting to read the names of places will need to grovel in the snow in winter to read it. An engineer must have designed the layout trying to squeeze all that information on the sign...not giving a rats — whether it was functional. I imagine 311 will be busy from people complaining they can't bend that low or see the small print.

GMH proposal on 95 St and 102 Ave.
If the Borg were rednecks, their ship would look like this:

That's the rumour we're hearing

Our sources tend to have a pretty solid idea what's going on out there, so we'll see

So Enbridge will possibly stay Downtown. Maybe 102?

I know I was out of the office for a day and a half but I was shocked to see a new crane on 104ave this morning. Looks like the 107st Dub project is starting to move.

Also Carrington Properties have put up there project board on the vacant lot at 107ave and 117st.

Walk Edmonton

Help us find our way...

The City of Edmonton is looking for your input! As part of the “Walk Edmonton” project the City is interested in learning the best way to help people find their way around Edmonton as they walk, cycle or use transit. We want to know what helps you find your way and what information you find most useful. Most specifically, if a system of maps, apps &, signs to help people on foot find their way would be a useful addition to our city streets. All feedback is anonymous and will be used to inform the City’s business case for this project.

Survey open from April 14th to May 4th, 2014.
To learn more about this project and complete the on-line survey please visit: www.edmonton.ca/wayfinding

Landmarks, nodes, and paths. It's simple really. Edmonton is a fairly navigable city with a regular grid. When I lived in Edmonton I'd only get confused outside of downtown when driving along some trails which twisted around the river valley. I found those far more confusing than riding the LRT or bus out to where I decided I was going.

Penguin navigation should be front and centre for any city thinking about navigation for the casual user. Have a set of points the user can pick from and follow Wayne Gretzky to your destination.

I believe Yardstick is in negotiations to take up that building. Moving from the south side to downtown.
