This one is going to be a looker. Can't wait until glazing starts wrapping the curve on Hastings.

I think just about everybody is waiting for this one with keen anticipation, also.
(Be curious to know if anyone, in fact, does NOT like it !!)

It's actually Crown Mountain. Grouse is to the right.

PS: The glazing looks amazing. The tower has a high finance look to it.

Really? I find the glass extraordinarily low-quality and full of deflections.

Compare the reflections on MNP's glass to the MaRS building in Toronto

The best view of the MNP tower may be looking west down Hastings in the morning, and will be even better when the glass is up on that side. I'm glad that it compliments the Marine building and it definitely has its own appeal.

The glass is of mediocre quality, but the tower as a whole is well designed and should turn out decent as a finished product.

Funny thing is for the best glass in the city one has to venture out to Metrotown to see Metrotower III, to me it seemed to have the highest quality glass I've seen in the city in a while.

^MT3's glass is indeed amazing. That Toronto example is really nice too.

Yeah, I was surprised how straight and reflective Metrotower 3's glazing is. High quality for sure.

Perhaps it will look better when it's cleaned up. I walked by the other day and noticed that the glass is still quite filthy.

Is it possible a wavier glass was a conscious choice? Like maybe the architect was looking for a more organic looking finish? Or is it just universal that flatter, more perfectly reflective glass is always "better"?

That went through my mind, too. In some locations, the perfectly smooth glass may be better, but the location here is "funkier" (don't know what other word to use right now)
and this slightly wavy glass gives an "Impressionist" type reflection of the Marine Building. In either case, both types are just fine, IMO.

I'm hoping the condo tower doesn't close off that sliver view - also a bit of a shame that it'll block the view of Scotia Tower - as it's one of the last logos I can see on the skyline.

Also glad that the office tower won't top out at the same visual height as Canaccord Tower, so there'll be some variation there.

You can really tell the south facade is widening to create a concave east facade.
