Unless there's going to be a significant height increase added during construction...
Heck it won't even be as tall as ICE(the taller one) is right now!

Perhaps they just meant rising above the Gardiner or the Air Canada Centre.

Brookfield Place

The access ramp has been reconfigured, moved from the centre of the site to the far east of the site. Excavation at the northern end of the site looks to be about 2/3 of the way down (total depth will be 22 meters).

I didn't take a picture when I was down there but that's because right now the most exciting thing about the project is the fencing with the "Rising Above it All" slogan on it.

They're still digging and piling into clear earth right now, the piles are down about half way on the northside of the lot. On the southside, it looks as though the shoring/piling has just begun. Still a lot of clear earth that looks as smooth as the parking lot that it has replaced.

^Right, thanks. It'll be some time before it's above-ground.

Well you have a least a month, before the weather is decent to sit outside for an extended period on a patio I guess.

It honestly does. I was there in July and when I got back kept thinking that. In the evenings looking north, with the buildings blocking out the less developed east and west it really does give the sense of an endless sea of buildings.

They don't mean anything, just some classic marketing nonsense.

^Just in the photo; not in reality. It's actually a handsome tower, much better than I expected of a Libeskind product.
