There is no third. There are already 9 in the top 10, so only 2 more starting is enough to push a 200+ metre tower off the list. Though I supposed Eau du Soleil could also start pretty soon.

Wow that is impressive. Really adds to Dundas Square, even though it is up a few blocks

The views on the lower 60 floors may be partially blocked by Karma and YC Condos, but there is a bit of distance between them and those views only extend to the north, so it won't be too much of a problem. I think a tower will likely be proposed at the Langdon Chelsea down the road and that could be 60 floors as well. And there may be a proposal for the Southeast corner of Yonge and Gerrard that would likely be in the 50 to 60 floor range to come down the pipe in the future. That's all long term speculation by me, although the Eaton Chelsea group did release a rendering of their proposed configuration some time last year.

They've dug down another 4 feet or so over the past week. Moving really quick. 7 floors of parking is a lot, but they're over half way down now and most of the digging has been just the last 2 months or so. I think we'll definitely be seeing a crane by this summer.

What's up with the billboard. Are they turning it from round to square?

The Brookfield Dig is impressive. Can't wait to see how big it will be when it gets to its final depth. There is something to be said about the scale of office development when compared to condos and residential. I am looking forward to some of the bigger office projects that are proposed here to get underway.

In the vein of office development, I've been seeing these mobile boxes on BACE and can't help it must be some new thing here. Could be a mobile office/washroom/changeroom/cafe that will move up as the office moves up. Never seen anything like this here before.

I wonder if Brookfield West will get underway during this cycle. It will be 178 meters tall, Calgary's 8th tallest building to roof height (after Brookfield East and Telus Sky are complete).

Roof height in my opinion is irrelevant in calculating final height. It should instead be what is seen in the skyline. If a building has a massive crown or spire then that should most certainly be calculated as a part of the buildings final height. This includes mechanical levels as well. That's why I will ALWAYS count TRUMP's height with the spire, same with the famous TD Tower downtown with the big TD logo. It's a part of the skyline and can be seen from 20-30KM away, what type of person would pretend it's not there?

The skyline view is as arbitrary a measurement as roof height as both weight appearance over the actual design including all of it's elements. Some push it further into the costs of things.

Debating it is pointless as it's been done a million times before with opinion winning out over common sense.

I love how the boarding for Ten York has the tag line "Rising Above It All" when it's not going to be as tall even as the Harbour twins going up next door!
Unless there's going to be a significant height increase added during construction...
