I randomly found this web site of an architecture firm that has designed all the cool modern homes in Daybreak and Herriman and I guess for Garbett Homes.

http://www.ktgy.com/portfolio/

I have no idea why the images are not showing up.

I love Garbett homes. I am hoping their proposal for west of Pioneer Park actually happens. Third proposals the charm, right?

Some new building at the very north end of Main St in Midvale. I couldn't see a sign anywhere saying what it was.

Midvale Main has such potential to be a cool street. I hope whatever this is will help bring more vibrancy to the street.

That is great news! I also think Main Street Midvale has so much potential.

Agreed, I've long felt that Midvale's Main was one of Salt Lake Valley's greatest potential assets.

Future Mayor, I can't remember the name of that HUGE Mega development going in over the old reclaimed tailings site. Did you notice how that is coming along? Isn't it at the north end of Midvale's downtown, around 7200?

Future Mayor, thanks for posting all the pics recently! The little photo updates are great!

Downtown Midvale definitely has the charm and potential for more development.

I wouldn't lump that business park in with downtown Midvale since it is on 72nd and downtown is more built around 7800 south. That development is pretty much your typical suburban business park. Trax is right there so that is nice but be prepared to walk through a bunch of parking lots to get anywhere. 3 office buildings (IHC, FLSmidth, and Savage) plus a hotel are completed.

Now that I live in Sandy I pass the South Towne Expo Center almost daily. We have been talking a lot in the Salt Lake thread about the CCH and the expansion of the Salt Palace and was wondering if there has ever been talk about an expansion at the Expo Center? It is not uncommon for weekends at the Expo Center to be packed.

This is Midvale's new City Hall. It should really help that area.

Interesting that none of the renderings showed it fronting main street as they were all from behind where the parking will be. I am very pleased with Midvale's decision to build in there "downtown" for the city offices. I have always enjoyed Midvale's main street as it is a little break from suburbia. Would also drive through hoping the Northern section would continue to see up against the sidewalk buildings and hope for some 3-4 floor buildings to go in to add a touch of height.

First time poster here! I live across the street from the construction zone and been following plans and stuff. Unfortunately it is not going to "face" main street there will be a parking lot facing 700w and thats where the entrance will be.. I do like that it is right up against street.

Welcome to the forum. Seems we have had quite a few new members popping up the past couple months and it has been nice.

Thanks, I've actually been reading this forum since before city creek center had started construction. I'm just way too shy to post, maybe it'll change!
