They work really long hours on this site. Every weekend there is someone with blowtorch welding after 10pm. They also start very early. I guess it's pretty normal with such a project and they don't seem to need worry about the noise.

It was the same with the Holt Renfrew reno. Super long hours and no one could complain. Of course that end is less residential...

Yup.
Snowed for the past 3 days - didn't really stick to the ground downtown, but the roof is unheated, so it stuck there.

Stuck pretty good in tropical upper Lonsdale (not so much down the hill)

Pic by me today.

Roof going on north mechanical penthouse -
looks like there will be 2 mechancial penthouses,
as there's a north wall on the southern one (but it could be an interior wall).
(Eaton's / Sears has just one long one)

Checked the old pics and the old one had an open air area, so this could be the same.

Was at the 725 construction site the other day and grabbed some pics. Nothing too flashy, was on my cell, but it gives an idea of the progress and the kind of space being created. Enjoy.

Looking down the new retail concourse:

From within one of the CRU units:

First stop, 4th floor:

Looking at the south atrium, the feel quite big and bright in person:

And the view from inside the atrium:

the grills are for fresh air intake:

A unique view of the Vancouver Block:

The extended floorplate on the 6th floor:

Looking north from the now squared off former 'rotunda space'. Very cool spot for a boardroom with 3

Looking down into the North atrium:

Thanks for the photos LC.
Can you provide any insight on how the leasing is going for the new retail space in the basement level?

Very nice.
Thanks!

Looks abit like a mirrored room (to infinity all around) inside the atrium.

Great set! Thanks for the photos.

This is one of my favourite views in downtown Vancouver and it's very neat to see it from a higher elevation.

Wow, what great views there are to be had from this building! It's just a shame that there (as far as I know), no public observation decks planned for the upper floor.

As far as I know nothing has been announced, so I can't comment there, but I do know demand has been quite high. The rents are certainly anticipating a more high end user mix, which will also compliment Nordstrom.

The list of retailers trying to get into the limited CRU space at pacific Centre is quite long, as I'm sure many here can imagine.

Pics by me yesterday and today:

Some of the curtain wall looks opaque - ie. above the future office lobby.
