Cool impact calculator! Obviously, it's hard to plot anything other than a perfect circle but, it can assumed that geographic features like extensive mountain ranges will be a buffer for the shockwave so, LA would be safe. However, a comet impact is most definitely an end-of-civilization type event, if not outright, an anything bigger than a cockroach extinction event. Us Denverites would be the lucky ones unless you're into post-apocalyptic survival.
