Can we please stay on topic and stop talking about this White Spot stuff!

There is an entire section in SSP where all you can talk about is food and dining....

I noticed that there are still quite a few column holes (very close to each other) near Gatineau Place that is yet to be filled, so its still a couple of months at least to see all the columns done. Also, I saw them hoisting up the first concrete section for the segment over Clarke Road today (around 3 pm). Clarke Road was pretty much close southbound with only one lane northbound open.
I'm not worried about the timeline for finishing the columns around Gatineau Place, because it will be months before the gantry crane arrives at Gatineau Place after making its way south down North Road while building the Skytrain trackways along the way.

Seemed like Coquitlam Centre station and Lincoln station sites have been seeing some more activity lately. Lougheed Hwy has been reduced to one lane southbound past few days.

Will there be switches installed near Coquitlam Central to enable a future extension of the line down the tracks to Port Coquitlam Downtown and Port Coquitlam Station? (eg. as in https://mapsengine.google.com/map/edit?mid=zZS43UGKhDGo.kyJD1KKTdMd4)

Concrete expands and contracts with the weather. You notice the same gaps along the Millennium line.

It looks like they are starting to pick up the pace a little. Per my previous post, they only started lifting the first concrete component last Tuesday, and it seems all the components are up for the south bound Clarke Road segment today. Considering how long it took them to finish the Como Lake Road segment, I'm glad they are doing the work a little faster now.

Any progress on the Lougheed Station front by any chance?

Here's a couple pictures of Evergreen Line construction in Coquitlam.
------
Lincoln station construction

Coquitlam central station construction.

All those piles in the back have been done just this week, glad to see some progress in Coquitlam finally.

Has anyone noticed that the guideway's height (not off the ground, but the structure) looks refined vs. the Millennium Line and Canada Lines? I think we'll need measurements as confirmation, but they don't look as tall in the pictures - and seem somewhat more low-profile akin to traditionally constructed guideways seen on the Expo Line and a few parts of the Millennium Line.

Proof of this: Have a look at Lougheed & Production Way on streetview; observe the height of the traffic signals vs. that of the guideway.

It seems that SkyTrain construction has slowly improved with each line. Where traditional guideways are used on the Millennium Line near Lougheed, they're actually lower-profile than they were on the Expo Line. My thinking is that elevated line construction costs are much down.

The Millennium Line's guideway height is complicated by the various road and railway crossings (side of road to median and back again several times; railways along Sapperton), the extra height to pass over the TransCanada Highway berm, the extra height for a mezzanine at Brentwood, the extra height for passing over the Kensington overpass, and at Production Way, placing a level platform on a significant slope. Overall, they may have consciously kept it high to avoid more of a roller coaster effect than there already is.

The sections without those issues (ie either side of Holdom and Renfrew - Rupert) have lower typical heights.

I think the most oddball elevation is the former tail track of the Expo Line just east of New Westminster Station. I guess at the time they expected the line to continue elevated, rather than diving down to where Columbia Station is now located.

I find it looks similar to the #3 road section of the Canada Line, the entire Millennium Line route is quite hilly and only really looks uniform between the Grandview Cut and Trans-Canada overpass sections.

It looks exactly like the Canada Line to me. Canada Line has traffic signals mounted directly to the guideway, so they are at the same height as what you see in those Como Lake pictures. I think the Evergreen guideway is slightly smaller profile due to the lighter rolling stock, but built at the same height.

I meant the guideway structure height and profile, not the height off of the ground.

One of the major problems the SkyTrain had since the beginning was the cost of the guideway which on its own was required because you can't have level crossings at all. I wouldn't be surprised if they've redesigned it more than once to make it cheaper per km to build. If anything it helps make it more appealing to interested customers.
