Has anyone noticed that the guideway's height (not off the ground, but the structure) looks refined vs. the Millennium Line and Canada Lines? I think we'll need measurements as confirmation, but they don't look as tall in the pictures - and seem somewhat more low-profile akin to traditionally constructed guideways seen on the Expo Line and a few parts of the Millennium Line.
Proof of this: Have a look at Lougheed & Production Way on streetview; observe the height of the traffic signals vs. that of the guideway.
It seems that SkyTrain construction has slowly improved with each line. Where traditional guideways are used on the Millennium Line near Lougheed, they're actually lower-profile than they were on the Expo Line. My thinking is that elevated line construction costs are much down.
