Where did you get the idea that Google is only picking one of these cities for Google Fiber? Did the Trib write that? If so, they didn't pay attention.

According to Google's website, Google wants to build in every one of these cities. BUT, it's up to the city to provide a survey of where utility poles, etc are. And to provide assurances that their permitting process can handle hundreds of construction permits at once. IF SLC sends Google the info, Google WILL build it.
