Oh all right I'll chime in.

I think Idaho's kind of its own little world. Great example of this is how you can pair every US state west of the Mississippi with a sort of "sister state." (Washington-Oregon, Utah-Colorado, Montana-Wyoming, Arizona-New Mexico, California-Nevada, North Dakota-South Dakota, etc.) But Idaho is the one and only state in the West that has no clear "sister."
Anyway I don't think we ever developed rivalries for other places. The closest "rivalry" we have is maybe Boise vs. the rest of Idaho and the Spokane area but that's nothing new. The only thing that "rivalry" has given us is petty and stupid behavior in local politics. No bueno.
It would've been cool though if we could've kept the Tetons and Kalispell/Glacier National Park.
