They won't be able to build the DRL fast enough.

I wonder which street the western branch of the subway will run underneath.

Using logic it would best to build now (or as soon as financially possible) before more large scale developments get proposed along its route like this one.

He must be talking about that disaster of a proposal at Queen-Richmond which has failed to secure major tenants in the downtown west/Entertainment district area.

Edit:

You know, I don't doubt that marketing office space outside the traditional core will be difficult especially with all the space there as well as in Southcore.

But its good how things are moving.

12 to 15 is half the height of this proposal and isaidso's definition of a midrise.

I was more kidding about CNE/Ex developments happening any time soon. In all actuality this project will get built long before that, but the office component will have some trouble getting launched any time soon.

Thanks to Fenwick16 for finding this colour rendering of Downtown Halifax's 5268 SACKVILLE STREET proposal. The brick building is a retained heritage structure. Nova Centre is immediately across the street on the left of the rendering.

The residential and shopping is not 30 stories its more like 16-18 . Try looking at the renderings. 30 stories is not midrise that is the office tower component. The residential is much shorter.

It's for Toronto. Notice the "UT" reference it stands for Urban Toronto, a Toronto dedicated site for Urban development and the likes
