Occupancy date is now August 2014. I verified twice with the lady at the SoBa sales office for my bank's sake (to hold rates for my mortgage), notices should be going out to Gotham purchasers shortly.

And here's a render I did of roughly what I want to do with my place. As it's a wide-angle, it makes my place look bigger than it will be but you get the idea

It's called Live Interior 3D. Built my floorplan to the closest dimensions as I could get then pulled in objects from Google's Sketchup 3D database that were as close to what I have/plan on getting as I could find. The standard rendering you output from Live Interior 3D is nowhere near as nice but it comes with a piece of software called Render Boost which can boost up the photorealistic element drastically and account for reflections, textures, etc.

Cool! I have used Sketchup before but haven't heard of Live Interior 3D. I will have to check it out. Congratulations on the unit at Gotham. This part of Centretown is a great location and will be an interesting area to watch as Lebreton Flats and the Windmill development slowly get built out.

Haha the three-screen setup is my boyfriend's; he's in game development and will probably move in with me. I'm the Mac in the corner

And thanks bartlebooth! Live Interior 3D is pretty good. There's a more advanced program for Windows only that is used on a more professional level but I found the learning curve on that one way too dense for what I wanted to do. Live Interior does almost everything I want and relatively easily/intuitively.

I'm hoping this area develops drastically in the next few years. Gonna keep an eye out on whats going on in the neighbourhood.

Speaking of keeping an eye on the neighborhood, I think Lamb Dev. purchased at least one of the houses on the south side of Gotham. I was checking out the progress a coupe weeks ago and saw some of the construction workers going in and out of 349 Nepean?(I think)... any ideas what they'll do with the house(s) after construction?

Also, does anyone know what that building is across from 349 Nepean? I think its address is 490 Lisgar. I hope no developer decides to scoop it up and put another highrise there... that would be annoying for the south facing occupants.

BTW jcphoenix, awesome rendering! I've been trying to do the same, but my attempts are a joke compared to yours.. hah!

Too much cement walls on both sides at front. Units would be much better with corner windows. Too expensive I guess.

They can cover it in gold and that will not change the fact that the design does not properly maximize daylight to some extent within the unit. I hate corner units with only one side of windows.

Some of it may be building/fire code related. You are limited in the amount of surface that can be covered by openings when close to the lot line. Too bad they couldn't buy the house at the corner.

How can you form an opinion on this project in its current state? Unless you're just a fan of concrete.

I'm not saying it'll be a poor condo, nor am I saying it'll be great. But when all you can see if cement and concrete, liking it is very difficult.

I have purchased a unit on the 15th floor, and I have been notified that my occupancy date will be in Aug. 2014.
