From Bokiman...

Parkade digging depth is 22m over 7 levels so the pit will be very deep to accommodate 1200+ cars and 200+ bikes.

Not much deeper than at the Bow - about 72 feet - according to my calculations. That's a long ways down - makes for a huge dig.

Wow, that was fast. I expected the pile drivers to be up a little longer.

I cannot believe how fast this one is moving...we see so many projects slow to get out of the ground here, but Brookfield is moving like crazy. I wonder how many cranes this behemoth will have?

I guess when you have a large anchor tenant already signed up, faster is better.

Excavation still needs to occur. How many sub-levels?

Excavation has now moved into the Western half of the site as of today. I wouldn't be surprised to see the entire site at least a few feet down by the time I get back from Ontario in January.

This is going to be a very deep hole with a large footprint. Hence explains the concrete encased piles. Once excavation is complete, someone should get a pic from inside the hole... ...legally.

That would be nice. The best we might be able to do is one from the top of the neighboring parkade. I'm amazed at how fast this one is going.

Yeah they are really serious about this one. I can only hope that Telus Sky gets moving with such gusto in the new year!

I'll get another update pic this afternoon.

I think Telus Sky will be much the same. Westbank and Telus together make a serious combination.

From what we've heard, the parkade won't be coming down for a while yet.
